Malcolm Wise

Newcastle University

Malcolm WIse is a PhD student at Newcastle University studying the safety aspects of lithium-ion batteries. He will be investigating the causes of thermal runaway in lithium-ion batteries as well as the implications of battery fires in electric vehicles and battery energy storage systems.

Malcolm hasĀ  a First Class Honors Degree (BEng) in Chemical Engineering from Newcastle University. Previously he worked in the construction sector, owning a company andĀ  window factory for 7 years.
