Louis Dawson

University of Birmingham

Louis Dawson is undertaking a PhD in Law at the University of Birmingham. He aims to assess the use of extended producer responsibility within the UK and the European Union as a means of transitioning from a traditional linear model of waste disposal to an economy which is fundamentally circular. This research pays particular attention to the disposal of batteries. Although, in addition to assessing the Batteries Directive, the study will also assess WEEE, ELV and Waste Packaging Directives.
